Upon arrival, meet the local representative and transfer to hotel in Saariselkawinter resort for check-in. Located in Northern Lapland, Saariselka offers memorable experiences in the living wilderness such as winter activities and exotic programmes. Draw your thermal suits and accessories from the nearby safari office. Tonight after dinner, there is a real arctic experience in store for you! The Aurora Borealis or commonly known as the Northern Lights often display magnetic field lines or curtain-like structures and can change within seconds or glow unchanging for hours, most often in fluorescent green. Set out by coach for a hunting adventure in search of nature’s celestial light show. If luck is with us we will be able to witness their natural phenomenon. Right there, under the Finnish sky surrounded by untouched winter wilderness, you are in the heart of the aurora zone.
A day of fun and adventure awaits you! Arrive at the husky farm and the first welcome will be the barking of friendly Siberian huskies. The hosts will tell you about the husky dogs, their nature and training program. The huskies truly love the cold climate as well as running and pulling the sleigh. The hosts will then guide you through on how to drive a husky sledge and once the lovely huskies are harnessed in teams, take off with the howling dogs. For the snowmobile ride, you will be given short instructions of driving techniques and safety rules about the snowmobile. Then follow your guide on snow caked forest trails; enjoy the beautiful views where everything is white no matter which direction you turn!
After breakfast at hotel, visit the reindeer farm where the reindeer herders will demonstrate on how to ride on a reindeer sledge. Get to know this old livelihood of Lapland and then it is your turn to take a short reindeer sledge ride. Hear the stories first-hand from the herders during this unique experience to learn more of the nature and training of reindeers. Soup lunch is served in Lappish style wooden building, before bidding goodbye. Take your time to explore magical Lapland or relax using the saunas in the hotel.
This morning, travel to Kirkenes by coach. A totally unforgettable experience awaits you on the frozen fjords of Kirkenes. Transfer to the Fjord by boat. On the ice, watch and learn how Snow King Crabs are caught. You can pose with the King Crabs for a photo before heading to the restaurant for a King Crab feast. The superb, white meat of the legs and claws is particularly juicy and has a natural sweet taste.
After breakfast, embark on a short tour around Kirkenes before returning back to Saariselka. Upon arrival, transfer to Kakslauttanen Igloo Village, located near Santa’s Resort. The Igloo village offers a unique Finnish experience. A chance to stay in a glass igloo – built using a special thermal glass that provides a spectacular view of the night sky – stars, planets, meteorites and another chance to see one of nature’s most beautiful creations, the Northern Lights!

After breakfast, visit Santa’s resort – Santa’s real home where Santa lives with his wife and receives their visitors. Elves serve hot drinks and gingerbread during your visit. Near Santa’s house, there is a large reindeer pen, where you get to view reindeers belonging to Santa and his elves. A 50-meter long and 10-meter high bridge brings you over to the Gold Creek where the Gold Elf, Bridge-keeper Elf, Smith Elf and other elves work together to dig for gold at the Gold Creek. Each having their own secret recipe allows them to create millions of presents from the gold. You can see the lights sparkling when the gold nuggets are transformed into gifts and sent around the world just like text messages. A wonderful tale indeed! After that, Return thermal suites and check out. In the afternoon, transfer to airport for return flight to Singapore via Helsinki.
Arrive in Singapore in the evening with fond memories of a magical winter holiday in Finland.
