Finish off your game viewing in the afternoon and head towards your accommodation, approximately an hour away from the Crater. On arrival, you will be met by Maasai warriors. Day 8: Masai Mara National Park (B/L/D)

Today is a full day of game drive at Masai Mara National Park. The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park. The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti and the Masai Mara is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. But that is not where the game viewing ends; large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in grasslands, gazelles and eland to mention but a few. Visit a nearby Maasai village to learn more about this great people’s way of life.

Day 9: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha (B/L/D)

Today we shall drive to Lake Naivasha with its commanding setting at the foot of the Rift Valley Escarpment. Spend the afternoon on a boat excursion ride where we spot small game in idyllic settings. Next proceed for the Cresent Island walk for an opportunity to spot wildlife such as zebras and giraffes up close. Lake Naivasha is surrounded by stands of papyrus and is a bird- watcher’s paradise. Water birds exist in great variety and abundance. Fish eagles and ospreys, herons and egrets, lily-trotters, red-knobbed coots and black crakes can be found within the area of this beautiful lake. In addition to the bird population, over 500 hippos reside in the lake.

Day 10: Lake Naivasha – Aberdare National Park (B/L/D)

Drive north towards the lush foothills of the Aberdare Mountain Range. The Aberdare National Park was created to protect the forested slopes and moors of the Aberdare Mountains, the peaks of which soar to 3930m and deep valleys are home to cascading streams and rivers. The park has elephant, lion, rhino, black leopard and the very elusive bongo antelope that lives in the high bamboo forest.
