Assemble at Changi International Airport for your flight to Novosibirsk via Bangkok. On arrival, meet by our local representatives and transfer to hotel for overnight.

Welcome to Altai. After breakfast, we shall proceed for a short city tour around Novosibirsk. Visit central part of the city: the Railway Station and building of the largest theatre in Russia – Theatre of opera and ballet of Novosibirsk before proceeding for our journey to Chemal passing through the agricultural plantations of cereals and sunflowers. Enroute visit the oldest city of Altai – Biysk city, founded by Peter the Great Russian emperor in 1709 and visit the top of the first small mountain on our path – Mt Picketin Srostki Village – with panorama view of the Katun River.

After breakfast we will visit Chemal Village – the most popular resort in Altai. We will walk through suspension bridge toward the Patmos Island and St Joan Baptist Church. Afterwards we will walk to the Chemalskaya power station along the Katun River bank. You can observe the confluence of two rivers – Katun and Chemal – and finally visit the souvenir market. In the afternoon, proceed by car excursion along the Katun River valley to the Teldekpen Rapid. In the evening after dinner, walking tour to the Che-Chkysh Mountain Gorge for the panoramic sunset view above the Katun River.

AIn the morning, we shall proceed for an hour of walking tour towards the Kamyshlinsky Waterfall, climbing the wooden steps above the fall for the overall view. Also visit the local souvenir market and take photos with the wild rabbits that inhabits around the fall. Picnic lunch by the river bank. Thereafter, visit the Maral deer farm where you will have an hour of horseback riding at the park and observe the maraldeers. These animals have young velvet antlers which are used in medicine and treatment.

Today we shall proceed for our car excursion along the most beautiful mountainous road in Russia – Chuisky Highway or known as ChuiskyTraktwhich extends for about 1,000km from
Novosibirsk and across the Altai Territory down to Russia’s border with Mongolia. This is Siberia’s most beautiful asphalt allowing us to observe various landscapes and small villages along the way. We will see the Seminsky Pass, Siberian pine trees taiga along the way, the rocky serpentine road of Chike-Taman Pass, IIgumensky Rapid on the Katun River, waterfalls near Chibit Village and Geizernoye Lake.

Wake up early in the morning, about 2 hours before dawn for sunrise view. Watch how the first sun rays paint the snowcapped peaks of the North-Chuisky Ridge in various shades of pink and golden colors. Before this grandiose scene, we hike about an hour to reach the observation viewpoint on the top of a mountain. After breakfast, we shall again travel along the Chuisky Highway. In the afternoon we will come to Karakolskaya Valley, the sacred valley of Central Altai. From ancient times to the present days Karakol valley is considered to be “The Heart of Altai”. In the Bronze Age there were mysterious megaliths during the Scythian time where tribal chiefs were buried here. In the present time, the locals perform shamanic rituals here. See ancient monuments, modern sanctums and wonderful natural landscapes as well including the Edelweiss glade. Also visit the Altai Culture Museum and learn traditions of the modern inhabitants of this mountainous country. Enjoy the live performance of throat singing follow by lunch at the village in local dwelling and tasting their unique cuisine. Overnight at the guest houses at Seminsky Pass.

We will drive towards the deepest lake of Altai – Teletskoye Lake (UNESCO Heritage site), which is similar to Lake Baikal. On the way we will visit National Museum of the Altai Republic where many archaeological artefacts are exhibited. The most famous of all artefacts is the mummy of Siberian Ice Maiden (Princess of Ukok) – a noble woman who lived in the 4th century BC at the Scythian Age.

After breakfast we will proceed on a motorboat excursion sailing along the 80 km long lake which contains only pure crystal water. Enroute stop at the various waterfalls and finally dinner at the Altaisky Natural Reserve (UNESCO Heritage site). Our dinner will be cooked from fresh lake fish and local eco-products. After dinner, proceed for transfer back to hotel for overnight.

Say farewell to the beautiful Teletskoye Lake and continue with our journey to Altai Foothills. On the way we will visit AltaiskoyeHolmogoryeDendropark and have a herbal tea and balm cooking-class. For lunch you will enjoy very specific meals cooked from wild herbs such as nettle, burdock, coniferous extracts and wild berries. Upon arrival at Belokurikha city enjoy dinner and an evening of Russian folk cultural program – master class of traditional crafts (making of cloth dolls ritual) and round dance Russian games.

After breakfast, proceed to take the chairlift to the top of Tserkovka Mount. You can observe mountainous panorama views from the top of the mountain. Thereafter, return to hotel for lunch before transferring back to Novosibirsk airport for flight back to Singapore.
